Non-Shedding Dogs
So if you are told that non-shedding dogs exist, don't be fooled easily. Note that even the hairless dogs shed. They may not shed hairs, but just like the rest of the animals on earth, they have their dander or skin scales that shed at a given time to allow the new ones to grow. These skin scales even carry the allergens you are bothered about, so don't wonder when after carrying your hairless dog you experience certain symptoms of allergies. Although that said, there is still a great option for you to consider if you want to reduce the severity of your allergy symptoms - the very light shedders. These very light shedders are considered by many as non-shedding options simply for the reason that when someone asks about "non-shedding dogs" they come out immediately as the right resource. These considered "non-shedding dogs" come in two types: the single coated dogs, and the hairless dogs. Both of these types, by nature, shed and replace their hairs and scales. But unlike the other breeds, they are capable enough of reducing the symptoms of pet allergies, making them ideal for the allergy sufferers. Want to know exactly what breeds of dogs are popular these days as non-shedding dogs? If so, continue reading. Basenji: Known as Congo Dog, the Basenji is a small and unusual breed of athletic dogs that stands about the size of a fox terrier, around 16 to 17 feet tall. It is a single coated variety of dog that boasts a smooth and shiny coat that naturally comes in the color of black and brindle, red, black and tan, and copper. It shed little to no hair. Hairless Khala: As the name implies, the Hairless Khala dogs are hairless. They don't have hairs, but they still shed their skin scales little. This breed is also considered as one of the non-shedding dogs for the obvious reason that it does not mess up a home with canine hairs. This breed now comes in two types: the Medio or the pottery type, and the Grande or the sighthound type. Miniature Poodle: The Miniature Poodle is but a popular breed of light shedders or non-shedding dogs. It is single coated, with relatively short and soft hairs lying close to its body. It sheds only a little to no hair and is highly preferred for its sensitivity, intelligence and sweetness. Note that there are still a number of non-shedding dogs out there. But note that these non-shedding dogs are just very light shedders. They shed too little. |
